Texas Lehigh Cement Company LP was formed in 1986 when Centex Construction Products, Inc.  which is now Eagle Materials Inc. and Lehigh Portland Cement Company  formed a joint venture to market cement from the Texas Cement Plant in Buda, Texas. The plant was originally constructed by Centex in 1978 and expanded in 1985 to a capacity of over 1,000,000 tons of portland cement per year. With one of the finest distribution networks in the state, Texas Lehigh Cement serves most of the major growth areas in an effective manner unparalleled in the industry.
